Krka National park

Krka National Park is located in Sibenik-Knin County, near town Sibenik. The River Krka with its seven travertine cascades is a natural and carstic phenomenon!

The area of the Krka River and Krka NP is characterized by an exceptionally rich flora and fauna, especially reptiles, birds and numerous endemic species of fish!

Many Cultural and historical monuments can be seen in the River Krka area like the remains of the Roman aqueduct that was serving Roman town of Scardona, Roman military camp Burnum , as well as ruins of several medieval Croatian fortresses!

Not to forget Skradinski buk, the longest and most visited series of waterfalls in NP Krka! It is, definitelly, one of the most known natural beauties in Croatia! And, one of the first Hydroelectric plants in the World is build and located at Skradinski Buk! It was build in 1895., thanks to Nikola Tesla, builder Ante Supuk and engineer Vjekoslav Meischner.

OUR EXCURSION:
We will pick you up between 09.00 and 09.30, depending on the location of your stay. Pleasant drive through the Dalmatian hinterland is one of the highlights of this journey.

First stop is in „Roski slap“, one of three entrances in National Park Krka. In Roski slap we will take beautiful walk alongside river Krka and enjoy breathtaking nature. The walk ends in unique Dalmatian restaurant, konoba Kristijan where we will enjoy some of the best Croatian homemade specialties. Dalmatinski pršut, Dalmatinska panceta, homemade cheeses, three or four homemade brandies, red wine and white wine – of course, homemade as well!
Through the restaurant flows their own waterfall and if you are brave enough, you can even take a shower under it.

The next stop is „Skradinski buk“ the second entrance in National park Krka Waterfalls, the most famous and the most visited one. Among other things, we recomend you to see watermill, power plant, long bridge and several great viewpoints! The walk alongside wooden paths is a must!

Return to the start point is late afternoon.
